From the very basics / minimum level

ATSWA Cert / 1 st Degree

In order to register as a professional student with the Institute, an applicant must have attained an ATSWA certificate or a qualification not below a University degree or its equivalent. The Professional Examination is made up of 3-Parts Structure with their Subjects.

Obtain at least ten years post - Induction (ACA) Experience

Having passed the above mentioned examinations, you are required to have a 36 months practice experience

Be a member of any district society

FCA Certified

Criteria For FCA:

  • To be obtained at least 10 years after induction
  • Be a member of any district society

Registration Procedure

In order to register as a professional student with the Institute, an applicant must first of all pay a registration fee of ₦10000 to generate a serial number.

  • Log on to https://icanportal.org/professional to start your registration process
    • You can pay into the Institute through the following ways

    WebPay or Paystack: NB: Using either of these methods, a transaction charge of ₦300 or ₦400 respectively is applicable for your transaction:

  • Log on to https://icanportal.org/professional/NewRegistrations to complete your registration process

    • Documents required to complete your registration

      Scan the completed form with the following documents (all into one single pdf file):
    • Original copy of the pin voucher
    • Original copy of the bank teller / quickteller receipt / debit alert
    • Certified copies of academic/ICAN recognized professional certificate & birth certificate/sworn affidavit
    • In lieu of certificate, transcripts (sent directly to the registrar/Chief Executive of the Institute by the University/Polytechnic @ studentsaffairs@ican.org.ng) or NYSC discharge certificate/call up letter in addition to the statement of result (B.SC/HND) are acceptable
    • In the case of AATWA, you are required to provide your certificate or ATS III result with evidence of payment for ATSWA Induction (N28,175 – excluding bank charges).
    • Marriage certificate & newspaper advert is required for married women
    • Change of name certificate/affidavit for change of name other than marriage.
