YES. Hard copy applications are not acceptable as all applications are online. All applications should be directed to the Registrar/Chief Executive or the Director (Examinations) stating the destination of the transcript, physical and email addresses of the recipient and other required documents as mentioned above be attached. How much do I need to pay for a transcript?:
Payment of processing fee of N15, 000 (The payment can be made through pay direct at any commercial bank (deposit money banks) in Nigeria or through POS at ICAN office).

Yes. Applicants must pay all indebtedness (i.e. student, graduate or membership Annual Subscription and Development levy) before transcript is processed.

How long does it take for a transcript to be ready for collection?:
Once application is submitted, it will take 10 working days to process the transcript provided the applicant attached all the relevant documents stipulated above. Where candidates fail to attached the relevant documents, it will take additional 10 working days to process the transcript.
CAN I collect transcript by hand (Delivery of Transcripts)?:
Transcripts are confidential documents expected to be delivered by the Institute to the destination provided by the applicant through the NIPOST. Applicants, who wish to use Courier service, can designate a Courier service provider to pick the transcript and send to the recipient.
I provided wrong address for the recipient of the transcript, can I correct the mistake?:
Yes, by written letter or email to profexamtranscript@ican.org.ng or atsexamtranscript@ican.org.ng (as applicable) stating the correct address/email, provided the correction tallies with the recipient's physical address, otherwise, you will be expected to pay another N15,000. Each processing fee of N15,000 covers a destination of a transcript applied for.
This means that you are free to request as many transcripts as possible, for as long as you are ready to pay N15,000 x the number of the transcripts you are requesting for.

What is ATSWA?:
The acronym ATSWA means Accounting Technicians Scheme West Africa. It was introduced in 1989 by the Institute to facilitate the production of middle level manpower needed by the nation in the development process. The certificate has been certified by the Federal Ministry of Establishment in Nigeria as equivalent of the National Diploma of Polytechnics and Colleges of Technology in the Federal Scheme of Service.
ATS Examinations are now being conducted under the aegis of Association of Accountancy Bodies in West Africa (ABWA) as ATS West Africa (ATSWA) to enhance mobility of middle level manpower within the West African Sub-region.
Currently, the ATSWA Examinations are conducted in 6 West Africa countries namely: Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, The Gambia, Sierra Leone and Cameroon.
What are the approved qualifications for Registration as ATSWA student?:
Five (5) credit passes including English Language and Mathematics in the SSCE, GCE, and NECO in not more than two sittings, Ordinary National Diploma of any Polytechnic recognized by the Council of the Institute, Diploma from recognized Universities and National Certificate of Education (NCE) from recognised College of Education.
