Welcome to the Sustainability/Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) Faculty of the Institute.
At the Institute, we recognize that the role of accountants extends far beyond financial reporting and in today's evolving business landscape, sustainability is not just a buzzword but a critical driver of long-term success, ethical business practices, and corporate responsibility.
Our Sustainability/ESG Faculty is dedicated to equipping accountants and finance professionals with the tools and knowledge to lead the charge towards a sustainable future.
The faculty is also to advance the role of accountants in shaping sustainable business strategies that integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. We aim to foster a community of forward-thinking professionals who can contribute to responsible business practices while driving innovation and value creation for their organizations.
Environmental: the environmental part considers how a company performs in an ecological way.
Social: the social part pays attention to relationship management with employees, suppliers, customers, as well as all the communities concerned with companies’ operations.
Governance:the governance part analyzes the company's leadership, internal controls, audits, Taxes etc.
As trusted advisors, Chartered accountants are uniquely positioned to influence sustainability initiatives, manage risks, and measure impact. The growing emphasis on ESG reporting, regulatory compliance, and responsible investment practices makes sustainability knowledge essential for today’s accounting professionals. By aligning financial performan ce with sustainability goals, accountants can help organizations thrive in a complex and dynamic global environment.
Our faculty provides a comprehensive range of resources and learning opportunities to help you stay ahead in the field of sustainability accounting:
