Financial Accountant
• To ensure timely preparation of monthly management accounts and financial information which provides a complete and accurate picture of the Company’s financial position. • Oversee the execution of the Company’s budgeting and budgetary control process to achieve the agreed corporate objectives. • To ensure accuracy and integrity of the accounting records. • To co-ordinate the analysis and synthesis of the Company’s financial and non-financial information which provides a basis for sound business decisions by executive management. • To protect the Company’s interest by ensuring that relevant statutory and regulatory reports/returns regarding the Company’s financial affairs are generated on a timely basis. e.g., statutory returns, including Tax, Pension & VAT returns. • To implement effective tax planning strategies for the company and ensure full compliance with relevant tax laws. • Oversee the preparation of the Company’s annual budget and monitor the implementation to minimize overruns and achieve the desired objectives. • Supervise the implementation of budgetary mechanisms to proactively identify and manage budget/ performance variances by the business sectors. • Authorize expenditure/ transactions in line with the Company’s approved authority limit. •Periodically review key Company Finance activity and performance reports and take appropriate action to ensure the Company’s business objectives are achieved. • Liaise with internal and external auditors (where applicable) and deal with any financial irregularities as they arise. • Cash flow forecasting and reconciliation of actual performance against forecasts
